United States of America

This hearing regarding the encroachment on the lands and threat of the dumping
of nuclear waster to the Shoshone would be better titled, the Shoshone Nation,
the USA requires better work by the Committee and the foundation of National
Institution on Human Rights primarily because African-American suffer much
higher rates of incarceration than other races at 6,000 per 100,000 rather than
the also high rate of 500 per 100,000. If
the Committee is scared of causing a nuclear reaction by the right wing
extremists who hold power they should make it their goal to found a National
Institution of Human Rights to process violations and make headway on the
forfeiture of the prison surplus to Community Corrections.(inserted by
Hospitals & Asylums).
In
addition, the Committee considered one individual communication under article
14 of the Convention, and found one or more violations of the Convention:
The Jewish Communities of Oslo and Trondheim et al v. Norway

prevention of racial discrimination in the administration and functioning of
the criminal justice system.
